Sweet & Swift Cleaning with Vinegar

We sieved through all the vinegar hacks, and found the perfect recipe that would work it’s magic effortlessly on the small details that are jarringly in need of some cleansing. Here’s how you can use it to shorten your time spent on cleaning!

The Perfect Vinegar Mixture

To prepare the mixture, put together in a jug 2 cups of water, 2 cups of vinegar, and 1 full lemon (sliced). Leave it in the fridge to diffuse for about a week. You don’t need to be precise with this, our favourite (and lazy) way of agaration would do the trick too! The whole point of the lemon is the balance out the vinegar stench.

When that’s done, these are some ways you can put your mixture to use.

Get Spanking Clean Floors

Had Cinderalla known this trick earlier, we’re sure it would have given her a much easier time with her stepmother. Soak a towel in the mixture, clip it onto your wiper mop, and mop away! You’ll be surprised how easy it is for dirt to come off your flooring. For stains that have been there for a million years, place the soaked towel over the stain for a few hours, and viola – watch the stain lighten, or even disappear.

(Pro-tip: If you have hardwood flooring, add more water in the mixture before you start cleaning. You don’t want to ruin your floor instead!)

Have Sparkly New Silverware

It is natural that our faucets or any silverware home decoration lose their shine over time. This mixture will solve just that for you! Simply pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it onto your silverware, and wipe over with a towel. This works for your kitchen utensils and cutlery too.

(Pro-tip: You can also use the spray bottle to scrub certain corners of your flooring that your wiper mop can’t get to. Or… you can spray the mixture on that one friend who always pulls a sour face – we’re kidding!)

Fresh Sheets and Clothes

We all know how humid it is on this sunny island. Inevitably, this means our sheets or clothes may have that lingering mildew smell, despite repeated washing. Here’s where this mixture can do the trick. Add 1.5 cups of the mixture to your load, and wash it on a hot cycle. After which, sun dry them! Your clothes would smell fresh in no time.

(Pro-tip: Add a cup of softener into your load as well. This makes your clothes smell lovely, and who knows? You may catch the attention of your crush the next time you walk past them 😉)

We do know the thought of cleaning in general can get quite daunting, especially with our hectic schedules, so let us Kaodim your cleaning woes for you!
